How do you eco?

The idea for HowYouEco first came to me when my sister and I were talking about how to get rid of some scrap wood and bricks during a visit to our parent's house in Virginia. As we walked across the National Mall in Washington, DC, I said, "There has to be a better way to recycle this so other people can use it. Like an Eco Home Depot."

Then, immediately, it was, "HomeEco!"

But that was just the beginning. Because our lives go beyond just our homes, the HomeEco idea quickly expanded to include WorkEco and PlayEco.

Back in California, a group of friends and colleagues developed this idea. We created an online destination and social network where you
could buy and sell eco-friendly products and services, share your favorites with others, meet like minded people and learn about living more consciously. A place helpful to everyone from those just considering becoming more eco-friendly to those living a completely green lifestyle.

We think it's more than "how to buy eco," it's "how to be eco."

All of us at HowYouEco think we gain by helping people make many small changes in their lives so they can leave a legacy of a lighter footprint on the earth. We want those small changes to add up.

Then we all gain.

Why did you go eco?

It's been a natural progression. I've always tried to minimize my footprint in all aspects of my life. Less of as much as I can.
